DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will provide skilled electrical and audio system support for the facility on and off site of the Farm Show Complex. This position is essential in ensuring safe and efficient operations during year round vendor controlled events and routine maintenance required by the facility. Work involves maintaining digital and analog audio equipment; troubleshooting intricate lighting, distributed audio, and paging systems; as well as installing and repairing audio lines essential to operations. You will have the opportunity to coordinate with event promoters and administrative staff to provide the correct layout of microphones and other related audio equipment in order to accommodate the needs of the customer. Additional responsibilities include:
- Operating an electrical power distribution system and associated equipment
- Interpreting logs and reports
- Testing electrical components
- Installing transformers, underground cable, and conduit
- Repairing fans, unit heaters, circulating pumps, and other electrical equipment

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Variable shifts may include weekends based on show schedule and facility needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
- Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience with 3 phase electrical systems
- Possession of a valid license as a journey-level electrician issued by the local Pennsylvania jurisdiction
- Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment
