JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Happy Valley LaunchBox's is seeking a Marketing and Communications Assistant. This individual will be responsible for communication and outreach infrastructure through email campaign development, customer relationship management (CRM) system oversight, and light social media content creation. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate timely, brand-consistent messaging across multiple channels to engage students, alumni, mentors, and partners. This role ensures contact data accuracy, high-quality engagement, and effective promotion of Happy Valley LaunchBox programming. Job Responsibilities:
This is a part-time position, expected to work 20 hours per week on a regular schedule aligned with LaunchBox programming needs meaning some evening and weekend work may be required. This position requires a highly organized and collaborative self-starter with excellent customer service, communication, and marketing skills. The applicant must have a can-do and professional attitude and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed weekly. This paid appointment is for the Summer 2025 session with the potential to continue on. The position requires full in-person attendance and is based at the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub in downtown State College. The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
