Essential Job Duties |
Duties include:
- Grow and maintain wild-type Arabidopsis, pennycress, and camelina plants for plant transformation.
- Perform agrobacteria-mediated plant transformation to generate transgenic lines in Arabidopsis, pennycress, and camelina.
- Perform genotyping (by PCR) and phenotyping of the transgenic lines, including various seed and growth traits (size, weight, growth, flowering time) assessment.
- Assist in seed fatty acids and protein analysis preparation - fatty acid and protein isolation.
- Data collection and statistical analysis.

- Experience in using automatic tissue grinder and high-throughput DNA technique
- Experience in performing large-scale, filter-based PCR setup for genotyping analysis
- Good interpersonal skills that include oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility with work schedule as needed
- Able to work alone and as part of a highly collaborative team
