YOUR OPPORTUNITY



  • We have an exciting Feed Ingredient Merchandiser opportunity in our Rolla, KS office. The Feed Ingredient Merchandiser will purchase feed ingredients for Seaboard Foods feed mills along with monitoring inventories, logistics, and customer contact. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to selling rendered by products from Seaboard Foods, Guymon, OK and Triumph Foods, St. Joseph, MO, and Seaboard Triumph Foods, Sioux City, IA.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Purchase a wide array of feed ingredients for all Seaboard Foods feed mills.
  • Monitor daily ingredient inventories at all feed mills.
  • Coordinate and monitor truck and rail logistics for inbound ingredients.
  • Sell rendered products from the Seaboard Foods Guymon, OK and Triumph Foods, St. Joseph, Mo, and Seaboard Triumph Foods, Sioux City, IA.
  • Enter purchase and sales contracts in Agris and AS400.
  • Understand and monitor grain accounting activities.
  • Present and evaluate new ingredient opportunities and arrangements.
  • Maintain and manage futures and cash positions on ingredients.
  • Establish and maintain contact with grain producing customers and other ingredient salespeople.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • High School or GED.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret in the English language general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Preferred:



  • S. degree Agricultural Business, Ag Economics or Business.
  • Two or more year's related experience.
  • Bilingual skills.
