The Enterprise Architecture (EA) Practice at New York Life is seeking a Technology Portfolio Platform Product Owner to lead the deployment, evolution, and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Architecture platform, LeanIX. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality, integration, and usability of technology portfolio data, supporting key initiatives across the enterprise.

The Product Owner will collaborate closely with the federated architecture community across NYL, and partner with corporate stakeholders in Finance, Procurement, and Legal to drive improvements in technology standards, onboarding workflows, and lifecycle management processes. You will create policies and frameworks to ensure application portfolio data integrity meetings regulatory and audit guidelines. These frameworks will inform the job descriptions for the architecture community and their role in maintain application portfolio data. Effective communication with technology leadership is a critical success factor.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic thinker with expertise in enterprise architecture tools, technology lifecycle management, and workflow integrations across systems like ServiceNow.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the product roadmap for the LeanIX platform, aligning functionality to enterprise architecture and business needs.
  • Lead the successful deployment and expansion of LeanIX across New York Life, focusing on data integrity, user adoption, and governance.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between LeanIX, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms to automate workflows for technology onboarding, review, and retirement.
  • Collaborate with the federated architecture teams and corporate functions (Finance, Procurement, Legal) to ensure technology portfolio management processes are standardized, efficient, and well-supported.
  • Drive continuous improvements in data quality, technology standards, and reference models to enhance decision-making and reporting capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for LeanIX users, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize the platform's value.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to platform usage, data quality, and technology lifecycle processes.
  • Champion the adoption of modern, agile practices for enterprise architecture and technology portfolio management.
  • Business & Technology Skills:Strong data-driven decision-making approach, proficient in creating data integration and API interfaces, javascript, python, and/or SQL

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Portfolio Management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience with EA platforms (preferably LeanIX) and integration with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar leadership role managing technology platforms.
  • Deep understanding of technology lifecycle management, onboarding workflows, and technology standards processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with a history of working across federated architecture teams and with corporate functions like Finance, Procurement, and Legal.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies, backlog management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with data governance and enterprise data quality initiatives is highly desirable.
  • LeanIX certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and technology risk management frameworks is an advantage.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$122,500-$210,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
