This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Role Overview: Responsible for collecting premiums, recording marketing expenses and compensation to our Third Party Administrators and Policyholders for a block of GMAD's business. Responsible for recording premiums, commissions, service fees and marketing expenses in GMAD's internal systems for these groups. Responsible for monthly sales reporting. Works to streamline procedures and processes. Additional responsibilities include Sarbanes Oxley certification, system testing and census update. What You'll Do:
- Administers the billing and premium receipts for a block of medium to large sized GMAD accounts.
- Performs premium and compensation accounting functions including calculating compensation payable to Brokers.
- Verifies Third Party Administrators Internal and External Marketing Expenses.
- Monitors New Business sales for same block of business. Researches variances month over month and year over year.
- Prepares and updates spreadsheets used for Policyholder reporting and dividend calculations for that block of business.
- Provides financial information needed for Annual Statement and Quarterly projections.
- Works closely with Third Party Administrators to determine and resolve reporting issues related to premiums, compensation and sales data.
- Participates in maintaining existing systems including the testing and implementation of system modifications.
- Uses advanced knowledge to improve and streamline processes.
- Participates in the annual Sarbanes Oxley certification and control testing process.
- Works with CVP to update and maintain procedural documentation.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Math, Economics
- Specific technical knowledge, skills, certifications, or licenses required for this position | Preferably experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft applications (Excel worksheets, Word, and Access Databases).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently. Good oral and written skills.
Technical Expertise
- Requires expanded content knowledge in own discipline and broadened capabilities | Requires strong technical skills with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Access) and SharePoint.

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
