Overview The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) inspects and ensures that proper welding and radiographic procedures are qualified and utilized. In addition, the inspector will maintain appropriate documentation, including MTRs, detailed as-builts, and weld mapping. All activities must be performed per client specification and approved for construction drawings, API-1104, and industry standards. Responsibilities The Welding Inspector works under the direction of the Chief Inspector, who will assign additional responsibilities to each inspector as needed. The duties assigned to the Welding Inspector will include, but are not limited to, the following:
