Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Starting Salary: $20.00 per hour

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Your Role:

Dive into the thrill of medium-complexity assembly work, utilizing blueprints, schematics, and wiring lists to tackle the assembly of complex units. You'll get hands-on experience operating advanced machines and automatic tools, inspecting and testing your creations to ensure they meet our high standards. Your workspace will be your canvas, and maintaining an organized and clean area is key to your success. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to tackle new challenges as you report any unique problems to your supervisor. What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical studies preferred.
• 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling hydraulic and electro-mechanical lifts and ramps at various stages of the assembly process, including final assembly.
• Installing moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and testing them for free movement.
• Inspecting components from previous operations.
• Following instructions and pre-established guidelines or schedules to perform job functions.
• Checking, testing, and adjusting parts and mechanics to meet product specifications.
• Working under general supervision, collaborating closely with Test Engineering to develop test plans, analyze test data, and ensure that designs meet functional and performance specifications.
• Preparing design modifications and coordinating engineering efforts with other departments to achieve project milestones.
