Responsibilities:
- Active Member of CFS Global Leadership Team. Helps develop and communicate mission, business plans, metrics, and key results.
- Lead North America Food Safety consulting and assessment team while identifying strategic opportunities to drive business growth across North America. This includes capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Support consulting operations globally to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency with a focus on delivery customer value
- Mentor and continually develop a highly productive team with talent, capacity, processes, and systems.
- Collaborate with Legal for contracts and NDAs.
- Work with the Global Training Manager to provide trainers for the CFS Institute.
- Set clear plans, goals, and expectations, holding individuals accountable.
- Effectively coach team members and conduct timely performance reviews.
- Clarify issues, simplify processes, and address problems or opportunities.
- Set performance standards and goals for the North America team
- Ensure strategic account plans for key North American customers are created and implemented, building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Strengthen CFS engagement in all product categories within the region and participate in industry conferences, tradeshows, and improvement efforts, including speaking opportunities.
- Support the development of future training offerings, including digital formats, and future customer support offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years in food industry leadership with a proven track record of team development, delivering results, and operational excellence. Extensive experience leading teams within food production operations (Bakery, Meat, Poultry, Dairy, and/or Produce) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time, including international travel.
- Customer value focused.
- Passionate about Hygiene/Sanitation and Food Safety.
- Excellent training and presentation skills, capable of explaining food safety concepts to non-specialists and able to interact with Microbiologists, Sanitation/Quality Managers, Engineers, and Management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and sales content, with all levels of personnel within a company.
- Self-managed with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.
- Sets a high bar, stretching the team to excellence in technology, solutions-minded professionalism, and growth mindset.
- Curious about new models of growth, willing to explore and push new offerings and technologies.
- Fluency in English required, with proficiency in other languages a plus.
