JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Patterson Lab is looking to hire a Part-Time Research Assistant. The position will include responsibility for standard laboratory organization of laboratory supplies and equipment as well as assisting with basic molecular biology and biochemistry experiments. The position also requires experience in: 1) general laboratory skills: 2) the genotyping of transgenic mice; 3) experience with polymerase chair reaction (PCR) and gel electrophoresis of PCR products; and 4) experience in standard biochemical analyses including western blot analysis, isolation of Rna, DNA, quantitative real-time PCR and general laboratory skills, and 5) manipulating raw data, preform statistical analyses on the data, and make figure quality images for manuscripts for research undertaken by our laboratory. The position will require up to 20 hours per week.
