Staff Nurse RN (0.8 FTE) - Richfield Clinic

SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Richfield Clinic. This part-time position will work day shift (8-hour shifts) between Monday-Friday (expect schedule TBD).

Staff Nurses at Richfield Clinic need to be proficient in managing and administering routinely scheduled vaccinations with attention to protocol and patient safety. General expectations also include documenting DARP notes to support telephone encounters and In-Basket communications, and providing comprehensive patient and family education on a variety of topics, including diabetes management, asthma care, OB/GYN intake procedures, and STD treatment. Lastly, knowledgeable and experienced with providing medication refills, wound care and triage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

• Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
• Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
• Educating patient on their disease process
• Assuring continuity of care
• Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
• One or more years of Staff RN work experience in a clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
