Location Address: 1070 Samuelson Street, City of Industry, California 91748 Work Shift: 8hr-3rd Shift (United States of America) Altium Packaging is one of the largest plastic container companies and suppliers of rigid plastic packaging. We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments. All candidates must be able to work the following overtime requirements: - 2 Saturdays per month. - 12 hr. shifts 2-3 days per week. This could be 4-hrs before your regular shift or 4-hrs after your regular shift. The Production Packaging Associate is an entry level position, responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products. This position will also load, move material, and operate packaging equipment. The Production Packaging Associate will also be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Inspects the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling. Perform bottle inspections, such as drop tests for designated lines. Immediately escalates all bottle abnormalities, defects and quality issues when found. Monitor the supply levels of packaging materials and replenish them as needed. Ensure correct labeling, bottle description and packaging of product in accordance with specific customer requirements. Move finished goods to designated area. Ensure efficient set up and organization of workstations. Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams from lines. Pick up dropped bottles from the production floor and place them into designated bins. Place discarded bottles into grinder, if applicable. Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to facilitate smooth transitions between shifts. Demonstrates safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies. Demonstrates punctuality and adheres to work schedule. Demonstrates a teamwork attitude by working well and effectively with others. Adheres to company General Manufacturing Policies. Keeps the work area neat, clean, and organized. Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
