Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Patrol in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols support a welcoming atmosphere, while your communication skills contribute to exceptional customer service. This post requires driving responsibilities. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas within the location.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to access control and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
