Job Description

OVERVIEW:

With the centralization of customer teams within NAR Sales beginning in F26, the Walmart & Sam's Zone will be responsible for $3 billion in Net Sales and $1 billion in Trade Spend, across two of our fastest-growing and most innovative customers. The Finance Manager, Walmart & Sam's will serve as the end-to-end finance leader for the customer teams, directly supporting the Sales VP and four Sales Directors and their respective selling and planning teams. This role requires a strategic and analytical individual who can lead, partner, and influence cross-functionally to develop and influence Zone & customer strategies and execution consistent with OU/Brand strategies and guardrails, and deliver against business metrics in a fast-paced and challenging operating environment.

The successful candidate will partner with the Zone Sales team and across Sales and Sales Finance to develop and implement annual and quarterly plans, track and monitor execution and results, develop accurate forecasts, and recommend actions and initiatives to improve in-market and internal financial performance, while ensuring financial transparency and control over all spending. The SFA Walmart & Sam's reports directly to this position.

This role reports directly to the VP Finance, NAR Sales, and will be located at the Walmart Business Center.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategic Partner to Sales Zone VPs
  • Partner with Sales VP to develop plans to deliver operating targets and track performance metrics across the Zones, aligned to OU objectives
  • Develop Zone & Customer strategies to improve financial performance / ROI (customer SRM)
  • Finance lead for customer negotiations / Joint Business Plan development, collaborating with Sales Strategy & Planning and OUs to align actions and investments
  • Develop and lead an accurate and insight-driven zone forecast process, highlighting performance gaps & gap closure ideas
  • Support the modeling and execution of price & trade strategy changes, and analyze outcomes
  • Integrate Customer P&L, Customer Total Commercial Invest & Cost-to-Serve into Zone planning and performance measurement
  • Monitor customer compliance and recommend actions to close gaps
  • Ensure financial transparency & proper control over all spending and activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 7+ years of work experience in a finance-related role
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to deliver strong results through partnership, influence, and decision-making
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Unquestioned ability to maintain strong fiduciary responsibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience or exposure to commercial finance roles
  • Master's Degree or MBA

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $106800.00 - $160300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
