The candidate will perform cash posting functions for the physician cardio claims. This position will be responsible for posting payments, reconciling journals, remits and moving money to patient responsibility.

Highlights:

  • Analyzing explanation of Benefits and act accordingly.
  • Ensures assigned posting worked with stipulated time.
  • Unposted payment and denial posting should be completed in a timely manner.
  • Timely response to the email query received from client or management.
  • Follow the process of updates received from clients or TQM team.
  • Daily reconciliation after posting all the batches.
  • Meet deliverables assigned by the client/management (productivity, quality, PKT, attendance, etc.)

Other Job Duties include:

  • Balancing statements
  • Documenting spreadsheets
  • Posting unapplied cash
  • Posting zero payment remits
  • Checking the lockbox for correspondence

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working in healthcare revenue cycle with specialty of cash posting experience.
  • Familiar with HIPAA and PHI guidelines
  • Associates or Bachelors preferred or equivalent experience in denial management.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and able to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness by making recommendations and communicating trends and issues to management.
  • Documented technical skills, Excel, Payer Portals, and Claims Clearinghouses.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
