Genesis Energy, L.P. is a publicly traded, master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. We provide critical pipeline infrastructure supporting long-lived, world-class developments in the Gulf of America. Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment used to transport crude oil and intermediate refined products along the Gulf and East Coast, and major river systems, the production and marketing of other specialty chemicals with no known substitutes and an increasingly integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.

Key Duties:




  • Review invoices against quotes and make adjustments as necessary for any shipping errors, replacement of materials not meeting company specifications, cancellation of orders, and changes.
  • Coordinates with vessels and/or internal departments to ensure maximization of freight savings and to expedite delivery of orders to vessels on a timely basis.
  • Procure quotes for all vessels submitted supply and provision requisitions and ensure orders stay within the approved monthly budget spend.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods; confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
  • Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials; ensure prompt placement of assigned orders in accordance with established policy.
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.
  • Deliver materials and equipment to the vessels as needed.



Required Skills, Experience, and Education:




  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or six months to one year related experience.
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • TWIC Card
