Job Summary
Working independently under little supervision, performs planned and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems installed in computer network rooms. Must be familiar with split unit (direct expansion) HVAC systems, air or water cooled self-contained HVAC units, and chill water supplied Computer Room Air Conditioning units. Performs replacement of HVAC units when unit is determined to be non-repairable.

Essential Functions



  • Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
  • Performs corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
  • Performs replacement of HVAC units.
  • Monitors performance of HVAC components and systems and makes recommendations on operational improvements or system replacements as necessary to ensure continuous operation of computer network room HVSC units.
  • Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.


What is required?



  • 5+ years related work experience to include journeyman level experience in operating, maintaining, repair and replacement of HVAC systems and components
  • High school diploma or GED
  • EPA (AHERA) License - Asbestos/Environmental Protection
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision required.
  • Must meet the requirements to be classified as a Regular Driver in accordance with Vehicle Use Policy Number 4.16.
  • Must be able to work day, night, and weekend shift rotations, including overtime and holidays. Must be able to respond to emergency work.


What We Would Prefer You Have:
Experience with Automated Building Management Systems. Experience reading blueprints and Mechanical, Electrical and plumbing plans.

General Physical Demands
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Physical/Environmental Activities
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Frequently May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Occasionally May be exposed to outdoor or warehouse conditions of loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and mists. Typical Hourly Pay Range: $27 - $34

Hourly Pay Range: $27 - $44
