Description

UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Transactions Analyst to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Supports the Transaction team in researching, underwriting, modeling, due diligence, capital improvements, rehab, renovation, and valuing multi-family investment opportunities as well as to assist in the disposition process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepare management reports and financial modeling for investment opportunities including acquisitions, dispositions, and Debt and Preferred Equity Program investments.

2. Assist in abstracting property financial statements, due diligence information, regulatory agreements, and other documents.

3. Conduct physical due diligence of prospective investment opportunities including managing and coordinating with vendors and other third parties, including, but not limited to, environmental and structural consultants, surveyors, and title companies.

4. Conduct/coordinate government and zoning reviews of prospective investment opportunities.

5. Compile, maintain and analyze property financial statements and rent rolls.

6. Conduct research and interpret market information that can directly impact the value of transactions.

7. Prepare investment and due diligence books for distribution to management as part of the investment decision making process.

8. Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly department reports, including pipeline/deal tracking reports.

9. Support the management team in maintaining joint venture and HOA relationships.

10. Monitor and maintain condo status for condo properties, including reviewing CCRs and implementing cost sharing agreements.

11. Work across internal platform as well as those of buyers/sellers to coordinate and complete post-closing reconciliations following an acquisition or disposition of a property.

12. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, fiscal management, and office management techniques. Ability to apply policies and procedures to solve every day and/or complex company issues.
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to proactively recognize and implement superior customer service to internal and external customers. Must have extremely high organizational skills and have major focus on details.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines by working independently and with a team, as well as be able to determine priorities and move projects forward without direct supervision. Must have a willingness and ability to take ownership of and accountability for projects/tasks. Ability to apply principles of basic algebra, geometry, statistics, and financial returns modeling.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Polished interpersonal skills. Ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Middle Management, groups of managers, clients, and associates. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Skilled in the use of spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. Performs duties that require strong comprehension, analytical, research, composition, communication, and organizational skills.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work including travel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business major in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

2. Demonstrated analytical experience obtained through college internships, required course of study, school projects or equivalent.

3. Multi Family experience is a plus.

Salary Range:
* $65,000.00/yr. - $70,000.00/yr., depends on experience

Bonus Potential:
* Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
