Cloudera seeks a Legal Intern to support our Legal organization and be responsible for, among other things, assisting to implement AI tools to accelerate the commercial contracting process. Projects also will include exposure to data privacy, employment law, intellectual property, and general corporate matters. We aim to give a student broad exposure to the various roles of in-house counsel.

As a Legal Intern, you will:

  • Evaluate various AI tools to assist in reviewing and summarizing contracts.

  • Review of existing contract databases.

  • Assistance with organizing/storing contract summaries.

  • Updating legal databases and intranet information.

  • Analyzing multiple types of agreements and paraphrasing it into succinct summaries.

  • Updating and identifying process improvements

  • Working with various members of the legal team in areas involving data privacy, employment law, and intellectual property.

We're excited about you if you have:

  • Successful completion of at least one (1) year of law school at an ABA approved law school. A keen interest in technology and the role of in-house counsel.

  • A high attention to detail and be resourceful, flexible, articulate, and hard-working.

  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills.

  • Interest in learning how an in-house legal department operates.

  • Active participation in law school activities is preferred.

  • Currently enrolled at an ABA approved law school.

  • A writing sample or law school transcript may be required as part of the interviewing process.
