Job Description

Vitro, North America's largest manufacturer of architectural and automotive glass is currently seeking a Facility Maintenance Engineer for their Maintenance Department at its Wichita Falls, Texas location. This position will be responsible for the upkeep of the facility infrastructure around the plant and the upkeep of the building's utility systems.

Responsibilities:



  • preventative measures to protect the integrity of the plant's utility systems along with the building infrastructure.
  • Problem solving: Diagnose failures and develop action pans to fix defects and prevent future failures.
  • Risk management: Manage risk to the achievement of an organization's strategic objectives.
  • Field data analysis: Review field data to look for trends and issues.
  • Lifecycle asset management: Manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect the plant or business operations.
  • Responsible for making engineering improvements for the facility reliability.


Education/ Experience:



  • Expertise troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to identify the root cause of failures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate activities between multiple groups- technical, engineering, and production.
  • High understanding of industrial manufacturing utility and infrastructure operations including HVAC, compresses air systems, hot water systems, and chilled water systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering field required, with a preference for mechanical engineering.
  • 3+ years of industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
