Primary Purpose: Acts as a design expert whereby the employee may be recognized as the technical authority for distribution design within the Company. Assists designers to prepare detailed technical designs up to those that are most complex for additions and modifications to company gas and electric facilities from onset through completion of project. Ensures design team prepares the most complex construction orders with safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs that conform to company standards, safety orders, and governmental regulations. Serves as a liaison between departments to streamline process and procedures. Mentors and coaches other designers, planners and project managers on matters related to design.
