Commercial Lending Intern (NE-4) OVERVIEW: The internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate students considering careers in the banking industry. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any function necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers. The intern will complete the following tasks and/or work assignments as identified by the hiring manager: 1. Support ad hoc projects based on department strategic initiatives including market research, process mapping, and interdepartmental collaboration for process improvements. 2. Assist with internal appraisal review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank standards. 3. Support current initiatives to digitize processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy within the department. 4. Assist team members with calling efforts and evaluation of prospective loan 5. Collect, review, and analyze financial statements at the direction of the Credit Department Manager, assisting with file memorandums and other documentation needs 6. INDEPENDENT ACTION: Refers specific problems to manager where clarification of policies and procedures is needed. COMPLIANCE: Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures relating to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Fair Lending. |
