We are a high-performing team of dedicated program managers who excel at cross-organizational collaboration, technology intercept planning, and delivering new technology to Seagate's next-generation HDDs. This is a team where you will learn, gain valuable experience, and actively contribute to delivering the Exabytes the world needs to expand IT3.0 and prepare for IT4.0.

About the role - you will:

The Program Manager of the RHT (Recording Head Team) Core Team will lead a diverse team of technical and other professionals in the development of heads for next-generation HDD products.




  • Lead a team of 8-10 members, with support from a dozen more across multiple sites.
  • Establish team direction and priorities, measure, and track progress against defined goals.
  • Identify and drive decisions on time and at the appropriate organizational level.
  • Coordinate team activities, facilitate discussions, and foster teamwork.
  • Ensure accountability by identifying owners for issues and sub-projects related to your programs.
  • Communicate program status, challenges, and plans to executive management.
  • Serve as the primary interface to the HDD Design Center on head development and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Thailand slider and HGA development teams to deliver technology and material.
  • Partner with the Korat drive factory on logistics, planning, and support.
  • Manage work within budget, including yield forecasts and materials management.
  • Transfer the program to the release products team after qualification and initial ramp.

About you:

  • Proven track record of collaborating with multiple cross-discipline engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in building strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong judgment and business acumen with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience managing programs or projects and using tools commonly associated with PMP certification (Program Management Professional). PMP certification is desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with the head development process, including factory build, assembly, and testing.
  • Understanding of recording head and HDD functionality.



The estimated base salary range for this position is $137,363,20 - $200,200.00. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
