We are seeking a highly skilled Rapid Response Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of mission-critical networks within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical expert on network architecture, design, and operations, and will play a pivotal role in rapid deployment and troubleshooting of complex networking solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect secure, scalable routed and switched networks to support rapid response operations. Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and other network devices in high-security environments. Monitor network performance and resource utilization; conduct capacity planning and trend analysis. Implement and maintain network virtualization and multi-tenant network architectures. Support continuous improvements in network security and performance by leveraging current and emerging technologies. Create and maintain scripts and code for network automation, performance thresholds, and event responses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operational support of network services. Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Citizenship and Clearance: US Citizenship is required. Must have and maintain a current DoD TS/SCI clearance. Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering or equivalent Experience: 3+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches 3+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks 3+ years DoD environment Certifications: Must have and maintain at least one of the following: CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP. Must have and maintain at least one Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M. Skills: Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities Configuring and installing various network devices and services Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols Experience with network virtualization technologies Experience with multi-tenant network architectures Familiarity with a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred Work Environment and Physical Demand: Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. May require ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
