Overview

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking an administrative or operations individual to support our labs in an office setting at ATCC. The Labeling Lab Technician supports labeling operations onsite full time in Manassas, VA. This role is responsible for providing administrative lab support with a primary focus on ensuring accuracy in labeling content. Proficiency in the English language is required.

The Labeling Lab Technician supports laboratory operations by creating, printing and applying labels to empty vials. Responsibilities include cross training opportunities such as assembling kits for production orders and managing lab supplies.

Responsibilities

Administrative Operations: Prepare and ensure accurate labeling content. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) concepts. Maintain inventory ensuring supplies are well-stocked and properly labeled. Perform minor troubleshooting of labeling instruments.

Documentation: Make detailed observations ensuring accuracy. Document results neatly and accurately in databases or paper records. Document record keeping logs for work performed to help support decision making.

Manufacturing Lab Tech Support: Cross training with kitting, media and glassware operations to support manufacturing.



Qualifications

Education and Experience:

    High School diploma and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency and Microsoft experience required.
  • Proficiency in the English language required.
  • Prior administrative or coorindator experince is highly preferred. Lab experience is not required.
  • High attention to detail required with ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Prior inventory or documentations skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of labeling software and data entry preferred.
  • Ability to function as a participant in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make good decisions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to complete work order routings in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to accurately apply labels to vials.


Benefits

The expected salary for this position is $46,000 to $50,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
