Splunk Admin Location: Anywhere in United States (remote) About the group: Cognizant's Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security Services Practice (CIS), is all about accepting digital transformation by driving core modernization holistically across layers. Roles and Responsibilities: Splunk Deployment and Configuration * Install, configure, and maintain Splunk environments across various platforms including Windows, Linux, and cloud-based systems. * Implement and manage Splunk forwarders for log collection and transmission. * Design and deploy Splunk architectures tailored to organizational requirements. * System Monitoring and Maintenance * Monitor the health and performance of Splunk platforms to ensure system reliability and uptime. * Perform regular system upgrades and patching to maintain security and performance standards. * Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Splunk's operations. Data Analysis and Visualization * Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor organizational performance and detect anomalies. * Work with teams to develop KPIs and metrics for effective decision-making. * Streamline data onboarding processes to ensure accurate and efficient data ingestion. User Support and Training * Provide technical support to users accessing Splunk platforms. * Train teams and other stakeholders on Splunk usage and best practices. * Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Splunk certifications (such as Splunk Certified Admin or Splunk Architect) are highly preferred. Experience: * Proven experience in deploying, managing, and maintaining Splunk environments. * Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. * Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. * Knowledge of networking protocols, security practices, and system architecture. Skills Technical Competencies * Strong understanding of Splunk data ingestion, parsing, and querying. * Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) for creating advanced searches and reports. * Ability to configure and optimize Splunk environments for high availability and scalability. * Knowledge of cloud platforms and integration with Splunk (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Soft Skills * Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. * Strong communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders. * Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively. * Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies quickly. ***Applications will be accepted till 5/19/25 Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position [$79,000 to $107,000] depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
