Position description

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar to advance research in business and sustainability. This is a joint appointment between the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES) and the UCLA Anderson School of Management, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research on environmental and business challenges.

The postdoctoral scholar will work under the supervision of Professor Magali Delmas and collaborate with faculty across disciplines.

Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: economics, strategy, behavioral science, and related areas. Candidates from other disciplines addressing sustainability challenges are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

-Conducting original research at the intersection of strategy, organizations, and sustainability

-Contributing to interdisciplinary research projects spanning management and environmental sciences

-Collaborating on academic publications and disseminating research findings

-Participating in seminars, workshops, and collaborative initiatives at UCLA


Qualifications
Basic qualifications

-All requirements for a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in economics, strategy, behavioral science, or a related field-except the dissertation-must be completed at the time of application.

Additional qualifications

-Ph.D. (or equivalent) must be conferred by the start of the appointment.

-The Ph.D. must have been granted by an accredited university within the past five academic years.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with strong writing skills and demonstrated quantitative analytical abilities.
