Job Description

The Visa Digital Issuer Solutions Product Management team is seeking an outstanding Manager, Commercialization candidate with the vision, passion and commitment to drive Visa's global digital commercialization and go-to-market efforts.

The Visa Digital Issuer Solutions Product Management team is responsible for global product strategy and execution of numerous digital banking, mobile and online-related initiatives such as the Visa Digital Enablement SDK, Visa Transaction Controls, Global Customer Assistance Services, Visa Travel Notifications and more. This role will meaningfully contribute to the commercialization activities of multiple products across our digital portfolio.

Reporting into the Head of Commercialization for Digital Solutions team, this role sits at the intersection of multiple product, solutions, operations and commercialization organizations and functions requiring organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills. In addition, this individual will be a thought leader in commercialization and business growth with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

The Global Product Commercialization Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of product launches and market entry initiatives on a global scale. This person will focus on defining and driving commercial success across the product lifecycle for Visa Digital Issuer Solutions products. This will be accomplished through a strong understanding of internal partner, external partner and customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product commercialization, market analysis, establishing commercial partnerships with 3rd parties and internal cross-functional teams, project management, with a proven track record of driving product success across multiple regions. This highly motivated individual will orchestrate commercial activities (e.g., GTM planning, partnerships, models, pricing, collateral) across teams for a portfolio of products or services.

Essential Functions

  • Commercialization: Manages and optimizes commercial activities across our Digital product portfolio.
  • Partnerships: Build and grow strategic partnerships with internal and external partners and clients.
  • GTM: Accountable for the development of GTM approaches, pricing, sales collateral, and other sales enablement artifacts. This includes GTM planning and training internal Sales and regional partners on the product / solutions to enable successful interactions with clients.
  • Product Construct & Value Proposition: Develop appropriate product constructs and articulable value propositions and success metrics through insights from market trends, competition and customer needs.
  • Marketing & Communications: Influence the market by creating and publishing product blogs, white papers, webinars and other client or market-facing materials.
  • Research: Drive research to identify market, customer and end user needs to influence a roadmap that leads to commercial success. Clearly articulate the value of the product and seek opportunities to connect client needs with product offerings.
  • Product Socialization: Socialize products with regional product, legal and sales to influence prioritization of new products or enhancements to existing services.
  • Market Analysis & Positioning - Define product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies tailored to regional markets. Monitor and analyze market performance post-launch, making data-driven decisions to optimize product success.

The ideal candidate must possess a unique blend of leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, and commercialization skills, as well as have a strong understanding of business, technical and operational aspects of commercialization and go to market activities.

The candidate must be able to work independently, with minimal-to-no day-to-day guidance, and be adept at collaborating with internal and external team members to remove barriers and identify creative solutions when issues arise. Additionally, industry-leading experience in the areas of FinTech, digital banking, digital payments, issuer processing and payment network processing is highly desirable.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years of product management, commercialization or project management experience
  • Experience in mobile/digital banking, FinTech, payments and/or financial services industry is a strong plus
  • Comfort with high-level, strategic thinking, including willingness to be an active and outspoken participant in decision-making
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills are required. In particular, candidate will be expected to build proficiency in effectively communicating business and technical issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world and across different time zones
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving with ability to collaborate and build consensus across stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience with partner management to foster effective relationships that result in open communication from the partner is a strong plus
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation and decision-making skills along with a global, customer-oriented mindset required

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 159,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
