Responsible for the implementation and supervision of the procedures and operations for the assigned departments within the Distribution Center.
May supervise various departments within the distribution center, including, but not limited to: Picking, Parts, and Shipping & Receiving; monitor workflow and production for assigned areas Based on assigned areas, may be responsible for ensuring products and parts are inventoried, ordered, received, picked, and checked on a regular basis Manage team members, including employees functioning as Assistant Supervisors, Lead Clerks, Clerks, and temporary personnel Work closely with other departments in the Distribution Center & Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery, accuracy, and customer satisfaction Supervise directly and/or through subordinates all activities associated with providing sales rep order service from order through delivery Responsible for recommending annual objectives and profit plan Maintain area-specific logs and reports; help monitor and control distribution costs Responsible for planning inventory levels on a product-by-product basis that ensures proper customer service levels while optimizing economical transportation methods Manage import and export logistics for frames, cases, and POP being shipped to and from vendors and distribution centers globally Monitor hours worked, provide coaching, and performance reviews for team members and temporary personnel Supervise team members' attendance records and schedule, and ensure that the department is properly staffed at all times Interview for open positions as needed Ensure team members receive appropriate programs to develop technical and leadership skills, thereby stimulating personal growth and development of subordinates Make recommendations and, as appropriate, implement improvements in policies and procedures for handling, packaging, and warehousing, and keep abreast of new equipment and technological developments in areas associated with operations being directed Establish and maintain working relationships with key personnel and communicate with internal and external clients as needed Administer the company safety program and take timely corrective action to prevent injury and destruction of company property Assist other teams in completing special projects or time-sensitive tasks as needed Perform all duties as assigned Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environment Strong computer skills required; Working knowledge of AS400 or SAP preferred Excellent interpersonal communication skills required Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required Must be able to prioritize work Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented oriented and able to multitask Must be able to work accurately and safely under pressure Overtime and weekend hours may be required Travel domestically and internationally Working Conditions This position generally works in a warehouse environment. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
