Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
The Beverage Brand Marketing Team at Ocean Spray is comprised of passionate marketers driven to build demand for the simple, honest goodness of the cranberry - resulting in vibrant, healthy lives for our consumers and farmer families. We are looking for an energetic, intellectually curious marketer who can hit the ground running and deliver against our mission.
We are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to lead the Growth Channels for our Beverages business. We are a high-energy, entrepreneurial group dedicated to spearheading new initiatives for the brand in places where people eat, drink, play, and work! Under the guidance of the Director, the role is responsible for both the development and execution of annual brand marketing plans that drive profitable growth. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for overall management of strategic inputs to channel programs, innovation, customer promotions, and trade as well as the management of the P&L. Additionally this person will oversee the day-to-day business and work with their Associate Brand Managers to ensure Sales has the tools and materials they need to achieve objectives. Creativity, communication, and business management are key to success in this role.
A Day in the Life...
- Develop annual marketing strategies and plans to meet the growth objectives of the various channels.
- Develop marketing personnel through coaching, appropriate supervision, and feedback.
- Create channel & segment specific marketing programs to drive demand.
- Monitor all competitive/channel/customer activity and recommend actions as necessary to ensure achievement of revenue and market share goals.
- Drive the Commercialization strategies & tactics for new product launches.
- Provide insights & recommendations to the development of the LRP.
- Lead development of monthly and quarterly business updates, annual marketing plans and semi-annual Sales materials.
- Develop, own and monitor channel-specific forecasts, as part of Ocean Spray's monthly demand planning process.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams in channel specific product launches and initiatives.
- Partner with Sales team and relevant third parties supporting the business.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA Preferred.
- Candidate must have 5+ years of work experience in CPG brand management or with a marketing/strategic management consultancy. Channel Marketing experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills: ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support.
- Superior presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within partner, customer and internal organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence without authority.
- Previous exposure to business unit P&L ownership, a plus.
- Travel 10%.
Education: Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
Master's Degree (Preferred)
