Duties and Responsibilities
Salary Range: $50,000 - $85,000

Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach classes on a variety of criminal justice and criminology topics at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; Engage in service to the department, college, university, and the broader profession; Maintain high-quality research activity through conducting primary research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting work at professional conferences and invited lectures, as well as the successful pursuit of external funding for research. Up to 50% remote work allowed.
Qualifications
Doctoral (PhD) degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field. Prior experience must include: Teach Research Methods at the undergraduate level; Teach and/or conduct research in the areas of corrections and/or desistance from crime; Possess a record of securing external funding for research; Publication of at least one manuscript in the volume, Crime and Justice: A Review of Research.
Full time. $50,000 - $85,000/year.

Additional Salary Information
This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs. Salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
