Key Position Details:

  • Primarily remote position - must be located within commuting distance of the Allina Commons, Minneapolis, MN
  • Full time position (80 hours every two-week period)
  • 8-hour, day shifts
  • No weekends
  • Compliance auditing will be a large part of this position

Job Description:

Works in collaboration with leadership to ensure all compliance aspects of the 340B drug purchasing program are met including diversion and duplicate discount. Responsible for data maintenance and some analytics within Third-Party Administrator (TPA) software as well as extensive auditing across both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy dispenses. Will be involved with reporting pertaining to 340B operations and assisting to identify opportunities to maximize program benefit.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Audits for 340B Program Compliance
    • Performs audits of mixed-use (hospital) transactional data captured within TPA.
    • Performs audits of external contract pharmacy transactional data.
    • Develops targeted audits for specific areas related to increased compliance risk or maximizing 340B benefit.
    • Assists with External Vendor mock audit preparation and execution.
    • Assists with HRSA audit preparation and execution.
  • Audits for maximizing 340B Program benefit.
    • Identifies and utilizes vendor tools to evaluate 340B purchasing opportunities.
    • Develops and uses of internal tools to help realize additional 340B opportunities.
    • Performs Drug Wholesaler audits to ensure appropriate 340B pricing is provided.
  • Third-Party Administrator Software Management
    • Manages of drug crosswalks for each location to ensure proper 340B accumulations for compliance and purchasing.
    • Manages of Direct Vendor purchasing to include both Drug Vendor loads and drug catalog maintenance.
    • Analysis of accumulations to determine areas of opportunities or potential non-compliance.
    • Validates of site processes and site education as necessary.
  • 340B Education and Training
    • Be a resource for sites to leverage for questions and assistance with 340B related ordering.
    • Partners with other system 340B resources to develop and disseminate key 340B operational information.
    • Involved in system 340B related roll outs and end user training.
  • Project work to support continued 340B program compliance and growth.
    • Takes direction from leadership on various projects to ensure timely completion and implementation.
    • Works with other 340B system resources as well as cross-functional resources on project completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 2 to 5 years 340B program operational experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational or Technical Training from an accredited pharmacy technician program
  • High School or GED
  • 2 to 5 years Pharmacy Technician experience
  • 2 to 5 years Pharmaceutical or Supply Purchasing

Pay Range

Pay Range: $30.39 to $41.65 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
