Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel.

Located between Denver and Boulder, the Omni Interlocken features an award-winning golf course, Spa, and gorgeous mountain views!

The Operations Manager provides leadership and support for our guests and members while playing an important part in hotel safety and loss prevention. The role is a critical link between guests and management, requiring proactive engagement to resolve guest issues and the ability to cut through operational hurdles wherever they may be. The Evening Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and will be visibly engaged with our guests during critical, peak times, primarily on weekends and evenings and work closely with our hospitality professionals in all departments. This position requires flexibility, hotel/resort operations experience and an aptitude for handling challenges with finesse while being "front and center".

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $70,000 - $75,000/year. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Support the evening team to ensure a standard of service and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, resort policies and procedures, coaching, training and correcting where needed
  • Directly responsible for recruiting, training and monitoring associates providing professional development, coaching and recognition
  • Ensure guests have an exemplary experience
  • Take the lead in resolving guest issues with grace and positivity
  • Ensure associates are well versed and knowledgeable about current hotel products, amenities, services and policies
  • Support various departments in responding to issues that may arise
  • Oversee the general upkeep of public areas ensuring they are presentable
  • Areas of focus include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Lobby area to be maintained every night in preparation for next day's business
  • Walk hotel ensuring hallways and pools are clean and clear of trash, debris and towels
  • Ensure all evening lights are uniformly lit; input work order to repair
  • Handle, report and resolve safety and loss prevention related issues.
  • Attend brand calls; implement and monitor initiatives in the defined areas of responsibility
  • Ensure that all VIPs and Select Guests are identified and cared for to brand standards
  • Anticipate guest needs; wow at every opportunity
  • Liaise with all other departments on the special requirements of individuals or large groups and follow through, i.e. amenity deliveries, group departure times etc.
  • Monitor Guest Satisfaction surveys and create plans for improvement
  • Uphold the hotel's commitment to gracious hospitality


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Hospitality Operations Management experience preferred. Previous leadership experience in an upscale, full service hotel environment is required.
  • Must have proven leadership skills and must be able to delegate, effectively train, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. May require working overnight shifts. This is primarily a Tuesday - Saturday 2pm - 11pm position with flexibility to business demands.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit throughout entire shift.
