Job Summary

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established procedures and quality control guidelines
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary position is $82.41 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field of Life Science with Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic skills of computer operation is required.
• Must be flexible to work on weekends as per the Clinical Laboratory needs.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must have good interpersonal relation skills and high standards of customer service.

• Sit up to 8 hours/day
• Stand/walk up to 6 hours/day
• Repeated use of instruments/equipment up to 8 hours/day
• Lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.
• The job requires the ability to hear alarms, phone calls and the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet.
