Job Description

The Network Products & Solutions at Visa is focused on bringing innovative products to market that enhance visibility and control over payments, provide insights, extend reach to new countries and networks, create efficiencies, reduce risk and increase certainty for cardholders, issuers and acceptors. Acceptance Network Products is part of the Network Products & Solutions team and is specifically focused bringing new value to card acceptors and payment initiators, in both card and noncard scenarios, that increase transaction success rates, reduce dispute likelihood, manage fraud levels and provide transparency of participants in the transactions. The team is focused on developing products that meet the needs of acquirers, processors, big tech and fintech sellers in an increasingly digital environment. These include APIs that open Visa capabilities to new payment system entrants, support both Visa and non-Visa transactions, and provide new ways to ensure that the expected individual is transacting. Our products have a global footprint, providing the opportunity to serve and learn about a wide range of geographies with varying payments maturity.

Visa's Network Product team is looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to support Acceptance Network Products including Global Network Processing Gateways, Domestic Processing Solutions and Verification Products. The Acceptance Network Product Manager's primary responsibility is to build and manage products and solutions that deliver a substantial value propositions across the payment's ecosystem i.e., merchants, consumers, issuers, acquirers and technology partners. In this role, the Product Manager will work closely with clients, partners, engineering, architects, and global cross-functional counterparts to build, iterate and refine new and existing value-added payment solutions across all channels. You will define the product roadmap and commercialization strategy, including market prioritization and pricing. You will collaborate closely with Technology on a regular basis to drive implementation and enhancements. You will develop marketing collateral and lead client engagements to drive adoption of products. You will ideate new product concepts and drive the roadmap of next-gen value-added services for our clients. You will bring prior experience in hands-on development of solutions, and a close knowledge of developments in consumer and payment related technology.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be determined by and conform to existing organization guidelines. The position is based in Foster City and may involve occasional travel domestically or internationally to collaborate with local teams as needed.

Essential Functions

  • End-to-end product manager responsibilities for one or more assigned products. This includes all aspects from product ideation, business case development, requirements definition, implementation management, sales planning, product pricing, product collateral creation, internal training, client sales engagement and product analytics/KPIs.
  • Develop and implement product roadmaps consistent with client needs and company vision
  • Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with scalability and long-term vision in mind
  • Work closely with internal and external product and partner teams to ensure alignment on goals/scope, plan critical path and operational risks, and ensure transparent communication
  • Drive coordination with other business units, product teams, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more yearsof relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the payments industry (e.g. payment processing,acquiring, issuing, payment technology provider, etc.)
  • 3+ years' experience with product development methodology preferred
  • Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of paymenttechnology, APIs, risk and fraud management, other ecosystem requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail andinterpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in areas with limited experience
  • Aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable andscalable payment solutions
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Experience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500 to 200,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
