Continuously improve the facility's inventory control. Continued scrutinizing of inventory numbers and correction of any variances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plan cycle count selection and frequency based on ABC classification within SAP.

Count inventory based upon system schedules and specific item discrepancies.

Reconcile production and inventory when presented.

Enter results of daily cycle counting into SAP.

Manage SAP system with regard to material standards and bills of materials.

Communicate to Materials and Shipping Departments all results of counting and system maintenance.

Maintain syncronization of tickets to finished goods within SAP system.

Maintain control of customers pallet balance within SAP system.

Scans and consumes production tickets using computer interface.

Ensures all tasks are completed in accordance with Amcor PET Packaging's safety requirements.

Effectively communicates with all internal departments

Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid forklift certification, which meets OSHA requirements, is required to perform the essential duties of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for 8 hours, and is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel, and climb stairs. Regularly uses hands to handle and feel product. The employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees and be aware of sounds in the plant. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.

Ability to see close (at 20 inches or less) and distance visions (20 feet or more). Ability to differentiate colors and good peripheral vision.

Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in high, precarious places. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.
