This position is responsible for all landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal activities at company facilities. This position also participates in daily maintenance department activities as required to maintain ongoing business operations.

Position Location: This position requires daily in-office presence. Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

What you do:

• Manages grounds keeping activities based on the season. Duties include but not limited to: application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, cutting lawn and removal of debris, trimming of hedges, bushes, shrubs flower beds, and snow/ice removal.
• Conducts and implements preventative maintenance programs including maintaining and repairing all grounds-related equipment. Performs routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, repairs, and preparation for the appropriate seasons.
• Adjusts and maintains the lawn sprinkler system including management of ground water wells for irrigation.
• Maintains a chemical applicators license as required by state law.
• Ensures compliance with city, state, and federal regulations pertaining to chemical applications and proper disposal of all chemicals used on the grounds.
• Oversees, directs, and works with outside vendors. Negotiates pricing with vendors for all grounds-related activities.
• Orders and maintains quantities of necessary materials to complete duties.
• Participates as a member of the emergency response team for all emergency and security issues.

What you bring:

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• 0-2 years related experience
• Chemical applicators license preferred (will need to obtain upon hire)
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry 40 pounds
