Job Description

Position Description:

The Sales and Marketing Director-Retirement Plans will lead and direct a team of professionals to research, evaluate, recommend, plan, develop, implement, and monitor a wide variety of communications and promotions projects in a fast-paced environment. This position will focus on supporting our Retirement Plans products and business lines. The incumbent works with internal functional areas, affiliate companies, the Field Advisory Cabinet, and the field force in the development of effective communications materials, the packaging of sales tools, sales approaches, and marketing programs for the purpose of informing, increasing awareness, and influencing sales of Ameritas products and services to increase the productivity and retention of our field partners and field offices.

Position Location:



  • This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.



What you do:



  • Develops, leads, and manages a strategic plan focused on the creation, delivery, and measurements of advertising, public relations, promotion, and integrated marketing communication plans for the division, in coordination with the enterprise.
  • Leads product marketing efforts including messaging, field and channel enablement, and content creation for Ameritas products.
  • In conjunction with sales, develops and executes a direct to consumer/producer sales strategy through electronic channels.
  • Collaborates with the broader marketing team on marketing campaigns, customer references, partner marketing, public relations, analyst relations, and online marketing.
  • Connects with product development and sales support areas to package sales concepts, "best practices", training programs, and success stories for producers.
  • Builds and cultivates internal and external relationships to promote and grow the business.
  • Oversees and is accountable for business plans while focusing on results and measurements.
  • Directs and influences associate and business resources to achieve business results.
  • Builds strategies around the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Monitors the external markets to ensure competitiveness.



What you bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7-10 years of related marketing experience required; 3-5 years focused in the retirement plans industry
  • 4-7 years of supervisory experience required

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
