Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities: * Assure Process Control Standards meet expectations * Monitor testing and development of products * Monitors shrink and yield results to identify opportunities * Assure compliance with all Safety/Food safety procedures * Oversee raw material inspection positions as needed * Train hourly team members as needed when developing new processes and products * Re-train hourly team members in process control and quality tasks as needed * Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours * Process product using tools and equipment provided * Follow all work safety policies and guidelines * Observe equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns * Adhere to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Perform other duties as assigned * Additional duties as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions * Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States * Must pass a background check, drug screen * Must be able to read and write * Need to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP'S SSOP'S and USDA * Algebra knowledge for proportions * Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word Physical Requirements: * Standing 8 - 10 hours per day * Lifting up to 57 lbs * Possible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting. * Repetitive hand intensive task, tight gripping, grasping, pinching, and pulling required Working Conditions/Department Description: * Work in a damp and cold environment * Work with loud and noisy machinery * Work with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors. * Working with animal organs and animal feces. * Working in congested areas We embrace equal opportunity employment.
