Overview

Milton CAT is looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service Intake Coordinator to be the first point of contact for customers seeking service support. In this key role, you will interact directly with customers, gather detailed service request information, and ensure accurate documentation of their needs. While this role does not involve scheduling service or planning shop jobs, you will provide all necessary details to the appropriate Service Departments to enable timely and accurate job execution. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and high attention to detail.

Note: We are recruiting for two open position and have advertised this position in multiple cities within our territory.

Starting Pay: From $23.00/hour, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and receive customer service requests
  • Create service calls with accurate segmentation, clearly defining the scope of work
  • Review and document warranty coverage, CVA (Customer Value Agreements), Product Link connectivity data, and previous relevant service history
  • Submit service calls to the appropriate Service Supervisor's schedule (shop or field), or initiate quote requests as needed
  • Provide customers with basic updates based on available scheduling information


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent, with college or trade school preferred.
  • Ability to effectively lead, influence and communicate with others both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities in a dynamic fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Heavy equipment service/maintenance knowledge a plus.
