Position: Family Affairs Coordinator Department: Player Affairs Job Summary: The Family Program Coordinator is responsible for fostering meaningful relationships with players' and staff members' families, increasing engagement, providing support, and connecting individuals to resources to enhance their overall experience with the organization. This role involves relationship building, direct communication, event planning & coordination, and resource allocation to ensure families feel valued, connected, and supported throughout the season and beyond. Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee Family Programming: Lead the development, management, and communication of key family initiatives, ensuring all family members are aligned with scheduled activities, wellness initiatives, and growth opportunities.
- Establish Meaningful Relationships with Family: Serve as the primary point of contact for players' and staff members' families, fostering strong, trusting relationships. Proactively engage with families to understand their needs, provide support, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Act as a resource to ensure they feel connected to the organization and valued as part of the team's extended family. Provide individualized messaging and gestures (e.g., birthday messages, newborn gifts, etc.).
- Strategic Calendar Management: Oversee the family program calendar. Ensure that family activities are strategically planned.
- Track Family Programming Performance and Success: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of family programs and initiatives. Consistently provide reports and insights to the Vice President of Player Affairs.
- Onboarding and Integration of New Family Members: Facilitate the seamless integration of new families, ensuring they are welcomed, supported, and effectively integrated into the family structure and activities. Provide connections to relevant resources and key community partners.
- Develop Season Report of Programming: Responsible for creating a season review report that showcases events, programs, activations, and other meaningful activities throughout the season. Work closely with the Player Affairs team to ensure collaboration on this project.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute family-focused events, including watch parties, holiday gatherings, and general family activities. Coordinate logistics for family attendance at games, training camp, and special team events. Serve as the primary point of contact for all family needs related to home games.
- Resource Allocation: Create and distribute resources related to important topics (e.g., aspects of wellness, transition, parenting, mental health, and personal development). Stay informed on all NFL resources available to family members and ensure they have access to relevant programs and support services. Act as a liaison to connect families with available benefits, educational resources, and community initiatives, thereby enhancing their overall well-being.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal partners (e.g., Community Relations, HR) to align family programs with organizational goals. Create meaningful partnerships with external vendors and sponsors to enhance family experiences.
- Support the Vice President of Player Affairs through regular updates, assistance with special projects, and execution of assigned administrative responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, hospitality, sports management, business, or related field - or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally with senior leaders in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred experience in collegiate or professional sports; familiarity with community relations and athletic program dynamics is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); able to produce polished documents and presentations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; skilled at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communicator with experience handling internal communications and sensitive information.
- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
