One of TEKsystems' clients, a Fortune 500 company and nation's leader in their respective industry, is looking for an Enterprise Networking Technician to join their team and be based out of Huntsville, AL. Key Responsibility Areas: 1.Technical Support a.Assists in the troubleshooting of Telecom WAN chronic sites which includes coordination of the managed technical service provider. b.Provides support for existing area IT technology in the office and plant environments, including Wireless, Network Wiring, LAN/WAN Networking, Terminals, PC's, Time Systems, Point of Sale interfaces (such as scale interfaces, pugmills, remote printing, card readers and kiosks), Printers, Power Supplies and other IT technology as needed to support the business. c.Operation of technical tools to collect and document system information that can provide troubleshooting data to analyze and solve problems. d.Recording of support calls that are directly received into the centralized helpdesk ticket tracking system. e.Coordination with onsite internal and external technical resources as needed to meet support requirements. f.Responsible for ensuring that onsite troubleshooting supports company technology standards and procedures. 2.Technology Installations a.Installation of IT technology in the office and plant environments, including Wireless, Network Wiring, LAN/WAN Networking, Terminals, PC's, Time Systems, Printers, Power Supplies and other IT technology as needed to support the business. b.Recording of installation requests that are directly received into the centralized helpdesk ticket tracking system. c.Coordination with onsite internal and external technical resources as needed to meet support requirements. d.Responsible for ensuring that onsite installation supports company technology standards and procedures. 3. Administration and Documentation a.Responsible for completing all assigned service requests in the centralized helpdesk ticket tracking system and recording resolutions. b.Responsible for documentation of area site inventory and cabling layouts. c.Responsible for keeping Enterprise Manager and business owners updated on status of installations and service requests. d.Responsible for maintenance of the assigned vehicle. e.Cost tracking and expense reporting. 4.Project Management a.Prioritizes daily support demands with installation and maintenance requirements. b.Provides updates on project, schedule and issue status as needed to Enterprise Manager. c.Coordinates activities of external and internal technical resources when needed to support technology standards and requirements. d.Serves as project manager as well as lead implementation resource for enterprise technology upgrades and installations. Provides knowledge transfer to other field support technicians to support enterprise technology project rollouts. 5.Technical Training a.Provides onsite technical knowledge transfer to end-users and other support personnel as needed to support the business. b.Evaluates training needs, training materials available and recommends training alternatives as approved by the Enterprise Manager. c.Assists in the coordination, planning, and scheduling of area training programs as approved by the Enterprise Manager. d.Provides knowledge transfer to other field support technicians to support enterprise technology project rollouts. *Skills* Cabling, Desktop, Support, Hardware, Troubleshooting, Windows 10, Infrastructure, Lan, Wan, Switches, Network engineering *Top Skills Details* Cabling,Desktop,Support,Hardware,Troubleshooting,Windows 10,Infrastructure,Lan,Wan,Switches,Network engineering *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
