What we do:

The Trade Desk is seeking a Front Desk Associate to join our dynamic Workplace Services team! This individual will act as a cultural ambassador for the office and will be responsible for assisting the Workplace Services team with management of high-volume, high-touch services and programs with the goal of providing a safe, positive, productive, and "best in class" workplace experience. This highly visible position is responsible for offering the highest level of customer service while representing The Trade Desk as one of the first points of contact for all our employees, guests, and visitors.

What you'll do:



  • Working under the supervision of your manager with the support and oversight of the local Workplace Managers, you will act as the primary point of contact for office front-of-house support. This includes greeting clients, employees, guests, internal visitors from other offices, candidates, and vendors. This position will be at the office's front reception desk.
  • Managing daily building access for employees, candidates, and guests. Collaborate with building security and the broader local Workplace Team as needed.
  • Managing employee access cards via our internal platform for all local employees throughout their employee lifecycle.
  • Support ongoing office communications about updates, our food and beverage program, and other related activities and events.
  • Assist with coordinating office functions including mail services, employee desk moves, client and/or large team meeting room reservations, and room reconfigurations.
  • Manage office supply inventory and setup.
  • Assist with the internal ticketing system for office-related issues/feedback.
  • Regularly maintain the front of house area neat and tidy to provide the best first impression for all employees, candidates, visitors, and guests.
  • Perform daily walk throughs of each floor to upkeep office standards.
  • Assist with the employee and contractor onboarding and departure process in close collaboration with HR, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Workplace teams.
  • Assist with coordinating the execution of office morale activities and events.
  • Perform other tasks, duties, or special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with global Workplace Services colleagues on best practices.


Who you are:



  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced office or professional work environment a plus.
  • Genuine interest in providing an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Proven history of hospitality-oriented roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
  • Passion - your work matters, and you deliver it with an upbeat, positive attitude with attention to detail.
  • Grit - sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You are resilient to finding solutions.
  • Proactive attitude - check in with the team early and often, alert the appropriate staff when there's an issue, and always strive to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Required to be in the office 5 days a week, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.
  • Able to respond after hours for emergencies and able to work outside of designated hours as needed.
  • Full knowledge of MS Office Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in high traffic, visible front of house area.
  • Active duties requiring walking, standing, reaching, bending, and crouching as part of daily activities.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$17.40 $31.92 USD
