Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, BU Medium Powerto join us at our Ames, Iowa or Eden Prairie, Minnesotalocations in the US. In this critical position, this person will be responsible for leading operations, BU sales, portfolio, R&D, Finance and HR, ultimately responsible for the overall P&L. Our next VP will also be responsible for identifying and developing the BU team and the development and execution of strategic plans and objectives. In this role, this person will also have global influence and business insight into different strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities for but not limited to the following:

  • Advancement of business unit's vision and profitable growth strategy
  • Expansion, localization and optimization of manufacturing footprint
  • Accelerate continuous improvement towards world class manufacturing
  • As a member of the Hydrostatics Division leadership team, the BU leader is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction and creating shared commitment for the success of the Division.
  • Drive profitable growth of revenue through existing and new channels. Ensure BU plans are aligned and coordinated with the Division and functional strategies
  • Collaborate with functions and other BU's to determine needs and priority for company resources
  • Leverage existing manufacturing capacity and experience, to provide value for the company and achieve operational excellence
  • Optimize organization for increased speed and agility in execution to enable our business to better compete in a global marketplace. Limit hierarchies, promote self-management and create a more fluid and team centric organization
  • Coach and develop employees. Create an environment where employees are rewarded for the value they create and have a strong focus, on building a talent pipeline

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or equivalent related experience required.
  • 10 plus years related experience required, with five or more years of P&L experience operating at an executive level.
  • Experience leading in an industrial environment. Industry knowledge/experience in off-highway, automotive or electronics preferred.
