Accountant: Content Finance Specialist - 5+ years experience

This is a 9-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA (3 days in-office).

Summary

This role supports the Content Finance & Accounting team by assisting with data gathering, financial forecasting, and reporting related to content commitments, assets, and system enhancements. You will contribute to ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency in content-related activities, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to maintain seamless operations.

Job Description

In this role, you will assist in gathering data and supporting all content commitments, including deal terms, budgets, breakages, and scheduling, maintained in the content asset planning system.

You'll partner with internal stakeholders to support content slate forecasting for monthly cycles and long-range planning. This includes assisting with quarter-close activities related to content accruals, amortization, allocations, and disclosures.

You will also contribute to IS&T projects aimed at enhancing financial systems, assist with ad hoc requests, and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  Background in accounting, contract reviews, and financial reporting within the entertainment/media industry

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $73.00 - $78.00 per hour.

This position may be eligible for benefits such as PTO, health insurance, and 401(k), depending on tenure and hours worked.
