This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.
Accountabilities
The Conservation/Preservation Assistant will use specialized supplies and tools to repair library and archival materials. This includes building unique enclosures under the supervision of the Conservation and Digitization Technician. Other duties include digitizing records in accordance with departmental standards.

Candidates will be expected to work independently, be comfortable with large and specialized equipment and have good manual dexterity.

Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates must have good manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail. They must have the ability to follow instructions, strong time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
