Your Role:



  • Work with Trading, Research, Portfolio Management, Operations, and Technology teams to implement and execute the firm's event-driven corporate arbitrage strategies, including mergers & acquisitions, convertible arbitrage, SPACs, IPOs, ECM Blocks, high-yield, and dual-class shares.
  • Design, develop, and optimize systematic processes using Python to ensure that daily trade execution is performed in an optimal and efficient manner.
  • Participate in project-based initiatives to build, improve, and maintain algorithmic systematic processes and solutions for the event-driven trading platform.
  • Implement new strategies and funds.
  • Perform comprehensive quantitative and financial analyses to formulate detailed trade execution plans and generate opportunistic trade ideas, including leveraging statistical models to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Provide back-up support for post-execution production support for the Trade Execution team.
  • Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various execution approaches for multiple asset classes.
  • Present reports on general economic trends and asset classes.
  • Monitor fundamental economic, asset class, and market structure developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews.
  • Perform quantitative research, and analyze and interpret data on price, yield, economic influences, and other macroeconomic factors affecting trade execution planning, costs, and approaches for different asset classes to optimize the execution costs of trading strategies.
  • Prepare presentations, charts, and graphs to present quantitative research and financial analysis results to the management team.



What You'll Bring:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience with futures, equities, Fixed Income, and derivatives; developing and improving trading software; corporate finance and financial modeling; researching for event-driven strategies; algorithmic trading and execution; using Python and SQL, including machine learning techniques and statistical modeling, in data analysis for trading research; quantitative research on price, yield, economic influence, and other factors affecting trade execution planning, costs, and approaches for different asset classes; and/or quantitative research, data analysis, and data-driven decision making.

The salary for this role is $170,914.00 - $170,914.00/year.
