Role: Sr Staff Accountant Company: Hunter Hamilton/client Location: Onsite - North Houston Type: direct hire Pay: $105k - $112k/yr Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sr Staff Accountant for a direct hire role in North Houston. This onsite role is crucial for driving transparency, efficiency, and profitability, directly supporting our long-term strategic objectives of operational excellence, financial scalability, and profitable growth in new and existing markets. What you will do in this role: Ensure accurate recording and strategic reconciliation of intercompany transactions to support corporate planning, profitability analysis, and decision-making. Develop and maintain effective policies for intercompany financial management to facilitate strategic growth initiatives. Lead all aspects of annual audit processes, including managing external auditor relationships and ensuring comprehensive documentation and accurate financial reporting. Proactively address compliance standards and mitigate risks related to audits. Spearhead the selection, implementation, and optimization of an ERP system focused on driving real-time financial visibility, automation, and operational efficiencies. Ensure alignment of ERP capabilities with business growth objectives and strategic reporting requirements. Provide timely, accurate, and strategic monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to facilitate executive decision-making. Enhance internal financial controls to proactively manage risk and improve financial data reliability and accuracy. Deliver insightful financial analysis to leadership, highlighting opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and margin improvement. What makes you the ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years of managing experience. Proven expertise in intercompany accounting, audit preparation, and ERP system implementation. Demonstrated strategic mindset and experience translating financial data into actionable business insights. Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing successful finance teams.
