Food Service Asst II Sanitation - Patient Food Services (Fulltime)

Cleans and sanitizes counters, tray lines, food wells, appliances and equipment in Main Kitchen work space and according to specific schedule. Reads and records temperature of appropriate food and equipment daily Maintains high levels of sanitation of all equipment by adhering to department policies and procedures, Health department codes and J.C.A.H.O. regulations. May train lower level employees. Escalate any issues to Lead or Supervisor. Maintains clear communication channels and constructive, sensitive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, patients, customers, family members and all hospital staff. Washes dishes, silverware, trays and serving equipment using dish machine and three bay sink Monitors sanitation and food handling, storage and temperature to ensure compliance with established codes and standards Prepares service areas at the start and end of each meal period following established schedules. Turns on equipment and measures, tests and distributes sanitation solutions. Arranges, straightens and cleans dining tables, chairs and counters Maintains and sanitizes food service equipment, work stations and service areas. Monitors and reports equipment in need of repair of replacement. Maintains related logs and records.
