Position Overview:

The Manager, Corporate FP&A will play a critical role in driving the organization's financial planning and analysis function. This role will manage the company's reporting process, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders. Based in North Charleston, SC, the Manager, Corporate FP&A will report to the Senior Director of FP&A.

How you'll impact Ingevity:

  • Manage and prepare the company's monthly reporting consolidation, analytics, and executive presentations, including creation of quarterly Board of Director presentations
  • Manage Corporate selling, general and administrative expenses ("SG&A"), headcount reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and associated variance analysis
  • Lead the company-wide annual budget and strategic plan process
  • Serve as a key financial partner to business leadership, working with the Senior Director FP&A to support Corporate and company-wide initiatives
  • Support the Investor Relations department with data and key messaging used to prepare investor-facing materials, such as earnings call scripts, investor presentations, and press releases
  • Work with business leadership to develop capital expenditure budgets, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and analyze subsequent spend
  • Work with the Senior Director of FP&A to develop, test, and implement reporting and system improvements necessary to manage the business
  • Assist the Senior Director of FP&A with enhancing business analysis by identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function; organize data into logical communication and messages that support business decisions
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and modeling for business financial decisions and will work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives

What you need to succeed:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 8-10 years' experience working in financial analysis
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting
  • Experience in a publicly traded company or pre-IPO environment; knowledge of SEC reporting and capital markets
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, ERP experience (SAP a plus)
  • Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills required with knowledge in various modeling methodologies, including DCF modeling and various other measures of ROI and TVM
  • Driven, self-starter, able to overcome obstacles and see projects through to completion
  • Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally; ability to communicate effectively with diverse technical and non-technical teams
  • This role is eligible for relocation assistance
